How to install and activate Certum Code Signing in the Cloud (standard and EV)

When the certificate is issued correctly, you will receive three emails from Certum:

1. A welcome email titled "Welcome to Certum," notifying you about the successful creation of your SimplySign account. Note: The account is automatically created.
2. An email titled "Regaining Access to the SimplySign Service," which contains an activation link.
3. An email titled "Secret for Regaining Access to the SimplySign Service," which includes the activation code required to complete the activation process.

Activating the SimplySign Service:

First, open the "Regaining Access to the SimplySign Service" email and click the link provided. This will open a webpage where you must enter the activation code found in the "Secret for Regaining Access to the SimplySign Service" email.

After entering the code, a QR code will appear. Use the previously installed SimplySign mobile app to scan it by following these steps:

1. Launch the SimplySign mobile app.
2. Tap the QR CODE button.
3. Allow camera access and scan the QR code from your browser screen.

Once these steps are completed, your application will be ready to use. The final step in activating your certificate is importing it.

Importing the Certificate:

To import the certificate, open the SimplySign application on your computer.

To log in, generate an OTP code (token) using SimplySign Desktop, and enter it into the Password field. Repeat this process each time you launch the application.

For the import process, right-click the SimplySign icon in the taskbar's right corner and select: Managing Certificates -> List of Certificates. A window displaying available certificates will open.

Right-click the certificate you wish to export and select Show Certificate. The certificate details will be shown, and the Install Certificate command will be available. Choose this command and follow the Import Wizard's instructions.
