About CAB Forum

The Certification Authority / Browser (CAB) Forum was founded in 2005. It is a volunteer group composed of Certification Authorities (CAs), vendors of Internet browser software and other stakeholders. CAB Forum implements the best practices of using SSL-certificates for protection of user communications. This organisation defines the procedures for issuing various certificates.
